Via -Joby Weeks on FB: When Hillary Clinton was a presidential candidate, she said she would ban private mercenary firms. Now that she is Secretary of State, this month she will award government contracts worth over $2 billion to private mercenary firms.

Get ready to meet America’s new mercenaries. They could be the same as the old ones. A new multibillion-dollar private security contract to protect U.S.
Greg Baugher: She is nothing more than a psychotic lier who hangs out with people who are just like her. Washington DC if full of liars & criminals. I don’t know how or why, as a society, that we put up with this kind of behavior. I guess it boils down to this: No one can abuse you more than you abuse your self.
The only way Hillary can Disarm America is by using paid mercs. I doubt that many americans serving in our military would be willing to kill fellow americans but mercs are highly paid and just like to kill…

US General Accuses Bush Administration of War Crimes

by: Matt Renner and Maya Schenwar, t r u t h o u t | Report (from 2008 archive)

Maj. Gen. Antonio Taguba (now retired) served as the deputy commanding general for support for the Third Army for ten months in Kuwait during the early days of the Iraq occupation. In a statement released today, he bluntly accuses the Bush administration of war crimes and lays down a challenge for prosecution.

In 2004, Taguba released a classified report detailing abuses committed at Abu Ghraib Prison. The “Taguba Report” (executive summary) urged Pentagon officials to follow up on its findings by enforcing adherence to the Geneva Conventions in interrogations.

Taguba retired in January 2007, later alleging that Pentagon officials had ordered him to retire for being “overzealous” in his criticisms of the military.

In light of ongoing Congressional investigations into so-called harsh interrogation techniques, and on the heels of Congressman Dennis Kucinich recently issuing articles of impeachment accusing President Bush of, among other offenses, authorizing torture, we present Taguba’s latest statement for your consideration.

The full Physicians for Human Rights report outlining the medical evidence of torture perpetrated by the United States can be read at their website.

“Like tectonic plates, these slow-moving but irreversible forces may generate enormous turbulence as they grind against each other in the years ahead,” writes Brownstein.

At some point, when tectonic plates build up enough tension, that destructive energy gets unleashed in a major earthquake, which is a pretty good metaphor for what happened on November 4, 2008. A black man got elected president, and suddenly every aging white boomer in this country turned into Carole King—they sure as hell felt the earth moving under their feet.

Meanwhile, the brother moving into the White House inherited the kind of mortgage that even Wall Street executives might hesitate to call “subprime.”

A devastated economy. Two wars, neither being fought with clear goals. Housing markets that resembled war zones. A health system crippled with costs. An auto industry cratering.

But surely, in a time of crisis, the country could pull together to fix this mess, right?

U.S. government medical researchers intentionally infected hundreds of people in Guatemala, including institutionalized mental patients, with gonorrhea and syphilis without their knowledge or permission more than 60 years ago.

Many of those infected were encouraged to pass the infection onto others as part of the study.

About one third of those who were infected never got adequate treatment.

On Friday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius offered extensive apologies for actions taken by the U.S. Public Health Service.

‘A state of emergency has been declared in Ecuador leading to military takeover of functions of the police who have staged a rebellion over reduced bonuses. Groups of police officers in Ecuador have reportedly attempted to overthrow President Rafael Correa, protesting a recent legislation that would reduce bonuses and benefits currently extended to law enforcement personnel.

Correa declared a state of emergency on Thursday, after an attempted coups d’etat was reported, as some police officers stormed the Congress and seized the international airport in the capital, Quito.

The unrest reportedly spread to other parts of the country as groups of police officers fired tear gas and burned tires after taking over barracks in Quito, Guayaquil and other cities. They have also blocked highways to the capital and shut down airports.’

Since The Great Flood hit Pakistan in July …

  • Many millions have been displaced, evacuated, stranded or lost their homes; numerous roads, schools and health clinics destroyed
  • Hundreds of villages washed away
  • Millions of livestock have perished; for the rural poor something akin to a Western stock market crash that wipes out years of savings
  • Countless farms decimated, including critical crops like corn; officials say the damage is in the hundreds of millions of dollars and it does not appear that Pakistan will recover within the next few years
  • Infectious diseases are rising sharply
  • Airplanes of the United States of America have flown over Pakistan and dropped bombs on dozens of occasions [1]

I direct these remarks to readers who have to deal with Americans who turn into a stone wall upon hearing the United States accused of acting immorally; America, they are convinced, means well; our motives are noble. And if we do do something that looks bad, and the badness can’t easily be covered up or explained away … well, great powers have always done things like that, we’re no worse than the other great powers of history, and a lot better than most. God bless America.

A certain percentage of such people do change eventually and stop rationalizing; this happens usually after being confronted X-number of times with evidence of the less-than-beautiful behavior of their government around the world. The value of X of course varies with the individual; so don’t give up trying to educate the hardened Americans you come in contact with. You never know when your enlightening them about a particular wickedness of their favorite country will be the straw that breaks their imperialist-loving back. (But remember the warning from Friedrich Schiller of Germany: Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens. – “With stupidity even the gods struggle in vain.”)

The American standard of living was the highest in the world, by far, due to our mostly free market economy. This will fall by 50% in the next five years. The American standard of living will be literally cut in half. The party is over, the punch bowl is empty, and the drunks are starting to wake up. It’s all over after 234 years folks. On September 20 the media proudly announced, “The recession is over”!!! Can you believe that? We were the world’s biggest creditor, and now we are the world’s biggest debtor. The American dream has been destroyed by brain dead voters choosing between Tweedle Dee (Marxism) and Tweedle Dum (Neoconism). Only 1% chose freedom and voted Libertarian or Constitutionalist. Social Insecurity has been broke for decades. The government will cause massive hyperinflation by printing Monopoly money. They will not adjust the Social Insecurity or welfare checks to match this inflation. The sheeple will still get checks, but they won’t buy much of anything. The Social Insecurity checks people got in 1970 literally bought twice as much. This has always been a big Ponzi (pyramid) scheme doomed to failure. Real unemployment is well over 20%. It is really much worse than that, as many people gave up on finding a job and aren’t listed anymore. Others have taken jobs they are overqualified for just to pay the bills. It just gets worse from here, and soon real unemployment will be over 30%- like in the Great Depression 81 years ago. If you adjust the salaries people got 40 years ago in 1970 for real inflation, they have literally been cut in half. The Consumer Price Index is just a big government lie. 18% of all income now comes from the government. This should be ZERO. No income should come from a government check every month. 90% of all mortgages are backed by Freddy Mac or Fannie Mae. That should be zero. 1 in 7 people do not pay their mortgage every month according to CNBC. 14% cannot pay their mortgage! There should be no unemployment, retirement, medical or any other kind of government aid. 50 million people get Medicaid or Medicare alone. We did just fine for almost 200 years before the socialist disease really got a foothold. In addition to government checks we have 14 million government workers and a full 6 million retired government workers to support. That is 20 million government employees we have to support with our tax money. Their average salary is $75,000, or more than twice the private sector. Do you know why Cuba is so poor? Literally 85% of their workers work for the government. The more government employees you have the poorer you are.  More…
